What is Open ID?

I am not sure how it works.
For the open ID here is a video of how it works

This seems abit confusing. Do what I did was I get myself gmail account from google. I then got a new email address you choose username it could be Tom, Dick or Harry or MS beater it will give you email MSbeater@gmail.com. Then use that to sign up to the blog. In Dashboard You can make up an Identity with Your name in the displayname so it will show you as MS beater, the name of something fictious, something fun so you keep anonymous and no sees your email address. If you never use the gmail email account you will not get spam or emails. I use it on my android so it has other advantages.

After the Trolling stops - which always occurs around post on certain issues -
we can then change this; we (MouseDocs) have also had our wrists slapped by the boss.

YOU MAY SOMETIMES NOTE THAT YOUR POSTS DO NOT APPEAR.

THERE IS AN AUTOMATIC SPAM FILTER FROM GOOGLE THAT OBVIOUSLY USES CERTAIN TERMS, WHICH IT CONSIDERS ABUSIVE AND GO TO SPAM

SO IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR POSTS APPEAR........REWORD.

  1. Ah, Mouse Doctor - please stay with Neurology. I know you were trying to be helpful - but you have an Open ID not an "ology" - computing doesn't source its word derivations from Latin or Greek. The clip helps for those who are visuals, the definition if you click on it "open ID" above the clip has explanatory power for the definition minded.

Now that you have graduated to a gmail address - you might like to explore google docs - there is something there for everybody. A collaborative tool where a neuro in the UK could be working on a paper and could share it with all other gmail connected neuro's and you can add comments or change parts of the document - might have to be careful here if sharing with 'competitors', would not want them fiddling with your data.
Even better there is Google+ where you can have your very own page and post up dates- and here's a novel feature, a Google Hangout where Mouse and Dr G could, say have a weekly or monthly spot and your fans could cross examine you in person - and wouldn't some of us find that a joyful prospect :) But seriously, you could do a live monthly Q & A - no technology is needed other than the computer you are already using. Oh, the wonders of modern technology!

  2. Dear Helen
Thanks for the idea...maybe G may want to do it but we had our researchday for Q & A. Also if you can make it for MS Life you can get a Q & A face to face.

P.S. Yesterday ee found out why we had not seen your emails, this is because they had been eaten by the google spam filter.
